Unico’s E-Drive Dynamometer Drives are designed for repeatable performance testing of E-Drive systems, offering high-efficiency and high-speed capabilities. These drives support water and air-cooled options and can handle ratings up to 5MW. They feature a modular design inverter for full regeneration to the three-phase power grid, a proprietary digital current regulator, and a state-of-the-art controller that allows seamless operation of various AC dynamometer motors without the need for conventional current-loop setup. The use of IGBTs with a switching frequency up to 30kHz ensures that the drives meet high-speed requirements for E-Motor testing.  With acceleration rates up to 300,000 rpm per second, Unico’s E-Drive Dynamometer Drives offer exceptional speed and torque response, enabling realistic load resistance testing for aggressive launch control modes, motoring, hill climbs, and throttle applications. The ultra-quiet operation mode, achieved through built-in dual current regulators, makes these drives ideal for NVH testing in both anechoic and hemianechoic test cells.
