Unico Flat Power mode is a patented technology for flattening the power demand of an oilfield sucker rod pumping unit, resulting in a dramatic leveling of its characteristic cyclic power peaks.
Flat Power mode allows maximal utilization of solar power sources, and provides smoother operation of generator-powered systems, extends generator life, increases efficiency, and allows a potential reduction in engine emissions. The algorithm resides in software, requiring no additional hardware beyond the Unico variable speed drive.
